Free visual inspection and a written scope of work before any mitigation begins - photos, moisture readings, and drying logs go in your claim file
The scope we write is the scope we bill. Anything new gets shown to you, in writing, before we touch it.
Meet the Pacific Palisades Team Behind DryMark Restoration Pacific Palisades
We’re the crew that shows up when water’s still moving through your floorboards or mold’s turned a Riviera Colony crawl space into a health hazard. Every technician on this page is background-checked, licensed, and named before they arrive at your door. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. It’s The Haven Standard, Clause 1 through 7, and the fact that Alicia Brennan won’t send anyone to a Pacific Palisades home she wouldn’t send to her own.
Our People
Alicia Brennan, Owner
I started DryMark Restoration Pacific Palisades in 2011 after six years as a claims adjuster watching homeowners lose tens of thousands on denied water damage claims. The problem was almost never the damage itself. It was the documentation gap - no photos, no drying logs, no written scope tying the work to the cause. I built this company around closing that gap. The Haven Standard started as a checklist on my clipboard and now governs every job across our network. When I’m not reviewing moisture readings from a Castellammare job site, I’m usually on the phone with an adjuster making sure our photo record matches their file. I live in the Palisades, and my cell number hasn’t changed since 2011.
Marcus T., Lead Water Damage Technician
Marcus has been running extraction and drying crews for fourteen years, the last seven with us. He’s IICRC-certified in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD), which means he can read a psychrometric chart - the graph that maps temperature, humidity, and air movement - and explain why your Rivas Canyon bedroom needs four days of dehumidification, not two. Marcus carries a thermal imaging camera on every call and won’t sign off on a job until the moisture meter reads below 16% on hardwood and 12% on plywood subfloor. Off the clock, he restores vintage motorcycles in a garage near Temescal Canyon. He’s the one who trained our whole crew on how to document “pre-existing damage” photos so adjusters can’t deny legitimate claims.
Elena R., Senior Mold Remediation Installer
Elena joined us in 2019 after running remediation crews in the San Fernando Valley, where she dealt with the kind of post-fire mold blooms we now see in Pacific Palisades after the Palisades Fire complex. She’s certified in Mold Remediation (AMRT) and knows how to build containment barriers that actually hold negative air pressure - the critical step that keeps spores from migrating through your HVAC into clean rooms. Elena can identify building materials by vapor permeance, which determines whether a surface needs sealing or removal. She once found hidden Aspergillus behind a supposedly “dry” El Medio bathroom vanity by spotting a 2-degree temperature differential on her FLIR camera. She speaks Spanish with our Spanish-speaking homeowners and keeps a running list of every local contractor who has tried to sell “mold-resistant paint” as a substitute for proper remediation.
James K., Service Coordinator
James is the voice you hear when you call (424) 365-9728 at 2 a.m. because a water main broke in your Rustic Canyon guest house. He’s been with us since 2017 and has dispatched crews to every neighborhood in the 90272 ZIP code, from the Huntington Palisades bluffs to the lower Alphabet Streets. James knows which of our trucks carries the Injectidry hardwood floor drying system, which one has the Phoenix 200MAX dehumidifier rated for 26-gallon daily removal, and which technician lives closest to your address. He also prepares every written scope before work starts - Haven Standard, Clause 1 - and reviews it with you line by line. Before this job, James worked in emergency veterinary dispatch, which explains why he stays calm when homeowners are not. He surfs at Will Rogers State Beach most mornings and can tell you which tide conditions correlate with our highest volume of sump pump failure calls.
Devon P., Restoration Apprentice
Devon started with us in 2023 after completing the IICRC’s introductory Water Restoration Technician course. He’s our youngest crew member and the one most likely to ask “why are we doing it this way?” - a question Alicia encourages because it keeps the rest of us honest. Devon currently runs secondary extraction, equipment monitoring, and the daily moisture logs that feed into your insurance documentation. He’s learning to read vapor pressure differential, the measurement that tells us whether water is still evaporating from deep inside a wall cavity or if we’re just drying the surface. Devon grew up in Mar Vista and can name every street in the Palisades Highlands because his grandmother lived there for thirty years. He’s the one who noticed that a competitor’s “dry” job in Pacific View Estates still showed 89% relative humidity inside a supposedly sealed cavity - a find that saved the homeowner from a secondary mold claim six months later.
One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard travels with us whether we’re drying a single room off Sunset Boulevard or coordinating a full rebuild after a hillside mudslide. Every technician on this page carries the same documentation kit: photo-capable tablet, calibrated moisture meters, thermal imager, and the printed scope you sign before anyone touches your property. Clause 1 means your written price arrives before work starts. Clause 4 means your photo record is delivered when we leave, not offered as an upsell. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is signed, not mentioned. We’re independently owned and operated, not a franchise, and every person listed here answers to Alicia directly. When you call (424) 365-9728, you reach one of us - a live person, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - because water doesn’t wait for business hours, and neither do we.
